This story gave me chills
http://www.cbc.ca/arts/media/story/2008/04/13/italian-artist-murder.html?ref=rss

I first heard of it on Saturday but I can't get over it.
They showed her on the news right before starting her trip, talking about wanting to demonstrate that people can and should be trusted... and look where her trust led her =((

Sorry for the short gloomy update, but I needed to get it out of my chest :\

It's horrible really... I can't understand that. My classmates told me today that here was a woman badly injured during a robbery. She gave her bag to a robber but he still stabbed her with knife... And now I think over it the whole day, because I just can't get it. Violence and so. That's why I'm avoiding news like a plague and usually live in my happy bubble where I trust to people. And why I'm writing all this?? I'm sorry.

Oh Gosh... that's so horrible :((
I completely agree with you, I feel sick watching the news cause it's always violence and crimes. It makes you feel unsafe all the time :\

And don't apologize... if it was up to me I'll do the same as you and avoid the news all together. I do it when I'm on my own, problem is when we have dinner, my parents ALWAYS turn on the news ._.

oh yes, I can understand you perfectly well! that is exactly what I thought when I heard the news...god, this world really IS bad sometimes.

though thankfully not everything is and we shouldn't get to downbeat by something like this.
anyway...I hope you have/had fun in your Japanese class honey. *cuddles*

I know, it's just hard to trust and not eb afraid nowadays :\

That lady's nickname should be Speedy Gonzales... she started explaining grammatics right away.
Questions, pronoums... I don't even remember any of it, so I'll have to do some heavy studying for Wed. =_=

I was just thinking of you today! :P
How are you, how are things at home?
And I didn't find the Pnish tv serie links ;___;
Can you point me to them? ^^;

but being too afraid is bad as well! as for me I am probably a bit too careless most of the time. comes with the size and build I guess, because i am taller than most guys...*sigh*

*laughs* your teacher sounds funny though! we haven't done so mch grammar yet and keep asking each other questions endlessly. today she has us listen to some sort of tape where Japanese people where stating their brithdays and we had to figure out and write down the date...but that was really hard to understand.

though when I stated and pronounced my birthday (27= juni shichi nichi) she started to giggle cutely...I am not angry at all, because it was kind of funny and it I figure that it probably sounds strange when a non-native Japanese speaker tries to pronounce words like that...though it sounds kind of melodic...

*pnish* stuff can be found at [info]fencer_x's strawberrywine tracker: http://www.strawberrywine.org/tracker/index.php -> *pointed*

sorry honey, but I probaby won't be able to reply to another comment, because I am dead on my feet as it is. *squeezes*

:\
I know, and you're absolutely right. But it's still hard when all you hear on the news are violence and crimes report :\
Hell, even kids have gone crazy. There are bullies in ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, it's so insane to me...

I feel bad for her, cause I think she must be new to teaching... she has a hard time speaking in italian, and she's not really methodic, she jumps from one thing to the other too much.

The tv serie is Hottonekai?

Aww, don't worry hon!
Have a good night! And hopefully we'll talk soon ^o^
*hugs*

Jeez, that's chilling 0.0

In this day and age, you can't really afford to trust people blindly, methinks. Especially if you're a stranger in such a dangerous conflict area. Poor girl.

I'm a little bit insensitive towards violence unfortunately, since i live in a dangerous city, and most people i know who have lived here (including myself) have either been mugged, assaulted, kidnapped, or worse. Besides, my dad insists on watching the stoopid news when we're having dinner EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!! So i get to happily find out all the sweetness of the world =__=; *blergh* (ugh...sorry for the rant)

This is still really sad though, especially knowing what she was trying to accomplish. My condolences to her family and all Italians too.

I hope you cheer up soon! Your daily activities will distract you, so you'll eventually feel better. Just hang in there ^__^

I know what you mean, I lost almost all trust in people from the news too. Everyday there's something crazy happening...

And wow! I'm so sorry =(
I guess it's true what they say, what doesn't break you will only make you stronger... right now I can only see myself being terrified of living in a city like that, but if I was to find myself in it, living in it, I suppose I'd learn to cope and live my life normally.
Major props to you *hugs tight*

And thank you so much for your comment and sweetness ♥
