This made everything better

I wonder if it means Yanagi stalked him on the set of the movie XDDD

In other japanese news, tonight's class was... umm, interesting?
She made us play 'Restaurant'.
One of us was the waiter and we had to actually go out of the room, come in, the 'waiter' would greet us and so on... she even had a printed menu for us and pictures of japanese dishes that the waiter brought to us. And an envelope working as our wallet, with different yen amounts written on sheets of paper XDDD

I think she's really planned the course for someone who needs japanese for an imminent trip to Japan and that's too bad :\
4 out of 5 of us wants to focus on the actual reading and writing, only 1 is interested in immediate day-to-day japanese.

Oh well, it's still japanese XD
Guess at the end of the course I'll try to self-teach myself the rest.

Now, if only this annoying cold would pass already... I'm afraid my nose will fall off by tomorrow morning =_=

*hangs head in shame*

and here I haven't even commented on your last entry...
you simply had to go and write a new one just to make fun of my slowness...*grins*

anyway, who did Yanagi stalk? I am asking, because I can't associate a name with the picture. though, could it be Endo maybe, because of the bike...*ponders*

hmm, your japanese class sounds interesting though. I wish we would do a bit more of things like those, instead of spending over 1 hour with homework, boring reading exercises and even more exercises from the book. and guess what, we learned even more numerals today? *bangs head on desk*

I swear those millions of japanese numbers are going to be the death of me!
and hey, I'd gladly take your cold...we had 23°C and so much sunshine that I already have enough of summer. I even had to wear some of my summer clothes, because I was afraid that I might melt. maybe I'll migrate to Milan later on if your weather is so much colder than ours...*grins*

*off now to upload some new icons*

LOL!
*cuddles*

Why yes, that's the one and only Yuyan! XD
Which is busy filming a film based on a manga about a cyclist team? Anyway, he's the lead and he bikes in it XD

Usually our classe are the same... she gets to the excercises and when she sees something we haven't yet done in it she explains in super quickly ans then has us doing reading/excercises on it =_=

Unfortunately I didn't mean cold weather :P
WTemperaure is aorund 20°, but I actually have a cold, which caused me blow my nose constantly for the last days XD

awww...*hands over hanky*

the fact that your having a cold makes that fact that almost my entire japanese classe was sneezing as well, even more funny. and our teacher had and allergy too and was making those cute sniffling noises the whole time. though, I kind of wondered that she blew her nose so often, because isn't this public behavier frowned upon in Japan?

at least she spared us the listening from the cassette exercises today, because those people on there are talking so fast that you can't understand a damn thing most of the time. if japanese people are really talking that fast, I won't ever be able to have a more or less decent conversation...*despairs*

and wow, I am impressed with myself for once, because I already knew about Endo filming this movie and its background. *snickers*

Oh crap... I was blowing my nose during class! O_O
It was running, I couldn't leave it alone ;_;
I had no idea, oh damn...
And this is the second thing already. One of the first lessons I left my phone on sure than no one would call me but I got text in the middle of class, everybody heard it =_=

I wish we could both learn jap like I learned english, through watching drama and listening to music XD
But darn, it's not working with jap!!

nah, don't worry! I think that actually only applies for when you're in Japan. nobody can expect you to stop blowing your nose whenever you see a japanese person. I mean, you actually live in Europe where it's considered uncugh if you sniffle and don't blow your nose...

though I wonder how allergic people fare with this strange custom (i.e. blowing nose is forbidden, but sniffling is allowed) in Japan, because if you're affected by something like that you simply can not blow your nose or stop sneezing...

LOL! I know that phone phenomenon, because it happens to me all the time. I only take my phone with me maybe twice a year, but whenever I do so, I just know somebody will call me this day...

and I know what you mean abut not being able to pick up Japanese via music and dramas only. it's a pity that! but i think the language is simly to different from our own languages to do so. I mean german, italian and english all have common roots and a lot of words can be derivated from latin. though, gotta love all the words, which are written in Katakana (even though i can't read it very well yet), because those are the original english words. yeah for the japanese being copycats...

Blowing your nose is forbidden but it's ok to sniffle? o.O
Lol, they're really the opposite of us XDDD

Lol, the weird thing is that when she read a katakana word to me my first impusle is to write it in english... and so twisted for me! XD
Like Biru. Beer. To teach an italian kid to read it we'd phonetically it spell it 'bi-r'. Yet I tend to write it with double ee in jap class! xD
English has fried my brain.

blowing your nose + sneezing = bad
sniffling = good

at least that's what every singly German turist guide, japanese book and internet page has told me so far...and it seems to be a huge issue too, because all of the above mention it at least once...

*snickers*
I know what you mean. my teacher seems to speak english a lot better than german (she's an english teacher too...though her German is really good as well) and whenever she desn't know the german word she simply switches to english and explains it in that language.
though, this kind of behaviour can be a bit confusing too. just today she explained the word for "west" and just told us that the translation for the japanese word is west. at this point we were so confused about which language she was actually using that it didn't register with us, that she meant the point of the compass and not an item of clothing (vest)...big fail, let me tell you...*slaps forhead*

and my brain is fried more from japanese, than from english at the moment.

"Guess at the end of the course I'll try to self-teach myself the rest."
Well, no course can teach you everything. You'd have to do that no matter what.

But, your class sounds fun.

Yeah, I know.
But I was hoping she'd focus more on the fundamentals instead of jumping right to practical japanese.
Those excercises are hard to do since none of us knows katakana and don't have time to learn it with everything else she gives us to study :\
And the weird thing is she doesn't even expects us to know it O.O

But yeah, some of the excercises are fun :P

But I think I did put my foot in my mouth in class.

Maybe you can address the professor in a group about maybe adding another lesson or two in reading/writing Japanese. I'm sure if there's an interest in it she'd probably be willing to alter a bit, especially when the super majority of you would appreciate it and are paying for it lol.
